The Erasmus programme was launched in June 1987 and in 2007 celebrated its 20th anniversary. It is one of the best-known Community actions and addresses the teaching and learning needs of all those in formal higher education and vocational education, as well as training at the tertiary level. It supports the achievement of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and reinforces the contribution of higher education and advanced vocational education to the process of innovation.

Requirements for Incoming Students

Students from European universities that have signed the Erasmus Bilateral Agreement with the University of Rijeka may spend one or two semesters studying at our University.
Please note that incoming Erasmus students should be officially nominated by their home Erasmus coordinator. After being nominated for Erasmus exchange, Erasmus students should send the Application Form and all relevant documents to the International Relations Office of the University of Rijeka (see University instructions under Incoming Erasmus Students).

Application deadlines:
10th June for the winter semester/whole academic year
10th November for the summer semester
Academic calendar:
1st semester (winter): beginning of October – end of January
2nd semester (summer): beginning of March – end of June
Examination period: February, end of June, beginning of July

Academic Calendar 2019/2020

Dear incoming students, the list of courses for the academic year 2017/2018, both winter and summer semester, will be published during September. Please use the last year's course lists for reference. If there should be any changes needed in your Learning Agreements you will be able to do so once you arrive within section 'During mobility' of your learning Agreement.
