In this article titled <em>\u201cNovelties in Wine Protection by Geographical Indications pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2024\/1143 of 11 April 2024\u201d<\/em>, published as a chapter in the book <em>\u201cAgriculture through <em>Sustainability<\/em><\/em> <em>Perspective\u201d<\/em> (edited by J. Katunar, N. Vretenar, J. Jardas Antoni\u0107), published by the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Economics, 2025, pp. 477-491, she explores the significance of geographical indications, discussing how they protect the distinctiveness of regions and their ability to shape the identity, quality and authenticity of wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GIs play a key role in protecting regional products, preserving cultural heritage and ensuring consumer trust.
