Within the elective course “Rhetoric & Oratory in Law”, the Faculty of Law in Rijeka hosted a guest lecture by Mario \u017dul\u010dek, PhD, one of the researchers of the Centre for Studies of Peace and Conflicts at the Future Institute of the University of Rijeka. The lecture addressed the influence of communication on decision-making processes. Students learned more about models of communication, ways to strategically adapt their communication to a particular situation and the influence of emotions on decision-making. We are grateful to our guest for introducing our students to some of the fundamentals of his discipline, communicology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecture was also an additional activity of the Jean Monnet module “Law & Philosophy of Political Participation” and the Institute for Democracy, Justice, and Sustainable Development of the Faculty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
