{"id":18631,"date":"2026-06-22T14:52:05","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T14:52:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pravri.uniri.hr\/?p=18631"},"modified":"2026-07-03T14:58:41","modified_gmt":"2026-07-03T14:58:41","slug":"the-social-impact-of-the-slpd-institute-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pravri.uniri.hr\/en\/the-social-impact-of-the-slpd-institute-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"The social impact of the SLPD Institute activities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After the Faculty\u2019s Institute of Sports Law, Sports Policies, and Sports Diplomacy held an Event on November 11, 2024, at the Rijeka City Hall in honor of the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/uniri.hr\/vijesti\/priznanje-abdonu-pamichu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rijeka Olympian Abdon Pamich<\/a>&#8220;\u2014highlighting his life story as a native of Rijeka who, at the age of 14 and accompanied by his brother (two years older), left the city after World War II fearing for his life, only to go on to become one of Italy\u2019s most celebrated athletes of all time\u2014we are especially proud that, after the Institute\u2019s initiative, the Italian Union nominated Abdon Pamich for the City of Rijeka\u2019s &#8220;Coat of Arms of the City of Rijeka&#8221; award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to promoting our city. The award was ceremoniously presented to him on June 15, 2026, during the City of Rijeka Day celebrations.
