The success of our students at the SLAM Moot Court competition

This year, the Faculty of Law in Rijeka participated with two student teams in the international moot court competition in sports arbitration - the SLAM Moot Court Competition. This is the third year of our participation, and this year 37 universities from all over the world took part in the competition, many of them with more than one team, of which the following should be highlighted: Bologna University, Italy; Ghent University, Belgium; King’s College London, UK; UCLA School of Law, USA; Manchester Metropolitan University, UK; University of Chicago, USA; Edge Hill University, UK; Institut D'Etudes Francophones - Université Paris XIII - Sorbonne, France etc.

For the first time, the team from our Faculty made it to the round of 16 among the 15 best universities after winning at the oral hearing. What is special about this success is that the colours of our Faculty were defended this academic year by two Erasmus+ students at the elective course EU sports law, policy & diplomacy within the Jean Monnet Chair - Aleksandra Kozłowska (Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland) and Julia Wlodarczyk (University of Wrocław, Poland). This success is also a great promotion of the Erasmus+ programme!

We would like to thank Julia and Aleksandra, wish all the best in their further education and work and congratulate them on their excellent result!
