Rijeka Doctoral Conference: RIDOC 2025 was successfully held on 12 December 2025, organised by the Doctoral Study Programme of the Faculty of Law in Rijeka, in a hybrid format – on site at the Faculty and via Microsoft Teams.
The conference had special significance as it marked ten years since the first Rijeka Doctoral Conference held in 2016. Over the past decade, RIDOC has established itself as an important international platform for the presentation of doctoral research and for academic exchange among early-career researchers in the field of law. It brought together 31 doctoral candidates who presented their research, with the participation of 15 panelists from academia and legal practice, representing a total of 17 countries, once again confirming the international character of the conference.
The conference programme included presentations of doctoral research from various legal fields, stimulating discussions, and constructive feedback from the panelists, with a particular emphasis on supporting young researchers in the development of their academic work. The hybrid format enabled participation by both domestic and international attendees, further strengthening international cooperation and the exchange of knowledge.
The Organising and Programme Committees thank all doctoral candidates, panelists, and participants for their contribution to the successful organisation of the conference, with special thanks to our partner law faculties from the YUFE Alliance and to the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno. We look forward to future editions of the conference.
