We invite you to a lecture by Dr. Polina Ivanova, a postdoctoral researcher undertaking a research stay at the Faculty of Law in Rijeka as part of the YUFE4Postdocs programme, which will be held on 21 November 2025 at 11:00 a.m. on the University Campus, Department Building, R. Matejčić St. 2, Room 804 (8th floor), co-organized by the University of Rijeka and the Faculty of Law in Rijeka.
This event explores the challenges of loneliness and the search for belonging among international students as they navigate new social, cultural, and legal environments. Dr Polina Ivanova, a research fellow in the YUFE4PostDocs programme, will present findings from her comparative study in Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Croatia. The lecture will be followed by a discussion and a Q&A session with student representatives and guests. The event is open to all staff and students of the University of Rijeka and its constituent units.
