On 1 December #pravri hosted the conference “Demystification of artificial intelligence: the intersection of technology, philosophy and law” (Demistificazione dell’intelligenza artificiale. L’intersezione di tecnologia, filosofia e diritto). The conference was organized by the Institute for democracy, social justice and sustainable development, with the support of EDIT.

The gathering played a double role. As was to be expected, it was a good opportunity to discuss several emerging issues related to regulating new technologies. We have used the opportunity to reflect the weaknesses and strengths of the legal approach to our subject matter. Additionally, all three presentations highlighted the importance of imagining daringly in the face of all the challenges associated with artificial intelligence.

We are grateful to all of our speakers: Professor Teresa Numerico, Professor Salvatore Orlando and Franko Hržić, PhD, as well as to our moderators, professors Sandra Winkler, Sanja Barić and Ana Pošćić of #pravri. We are particularly grateful to EDIT, whose support made the entire conference possible.
