We are proud to announce the “Dubrovnik Symposium on AI Law & Society”, an academic symposium dedicated to the topic of artificial intelligence and law, which will take place in Dubrovnik on 16–17 October 2026, organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka, the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo, the University of Birmingham, and the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana.

The Dubrovnik Symposium on AI Law & Society brings together emerging researchers in law and artificial intelligence for two days of intensive workshops, mentoring, and cross-disciplinary exchange. Designed for PhD candidates, the symposium blends keynote lectures from leading scholars with highly interactive sessions: research clinics, mini-presentations, methods workshops, career development panels, and structured networking along the Adriatic coast. A curated cultural activity in Dubrovnik’s historic centre will complement the academic programme and networking.

Participants will receive personalised feedback on their projects, develop new methodological and conceptual tools, and build an international peer network in the field of law and AI. Instead of full papers, attendees contribute only a poster or a 5-minute presentation of their research.

There is no participation fee. Funding is available to support travel and accommodation for two strongest applicants. For easier organization, please register via the link.
