During the ceremony marking the Day of the University of Rijeka – Dies Academicus, held on 20 May 2026, awards for teaching and student excellence were presented.
Special recognition for dedicated teaching work was awarded to our professor Emilia Mišćenić and teaching assistant Martina Smojver. The Award for Teaching Excellence is presented annually to teachers employed in scientific-teaching, teaching, and associate positions, based on criteria evaluating the quality and dedication of their teaching, their contribution to students, and their efforts in improving the teaching process.
Our student Dorotea Žuteg received the Rector’s Award for Excellence for the academic year 2025/2026, once again confirming the outstanding achievements and excellence of the students of the Faculty of Law in Rijeka.
At the same ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ivana Kunda was awarded a certificate confirming her appointment to the position of Full Professor with tenure, thereby recognising her valuable scientific, teaching and professional contribution to the academic community.
