The University of Rijeka, Faculty of Law, participated as a partner institution in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme “EU Energy Law: Internal Market and Competition, Regulation and Sustainable Development” held from 1 to 11 September 2026 and organised by the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor.
Prof. Ana Pošćić and Assoc. Prof. Adrijana Martinović contributed to the programme with online lectures, while Narda Krnetić Blečić, Research and Teaching Assistant, participated in both, online and onsite part of the programme in Maribor, where she delivered a lecture on “Sustainable Development in the Energy Sector” and tutored students in the preparation of their seminar work.
This year marked the first edition of the BIP, bringing together students, academics and experts from different European countries. Alongside lectures and discussions, the rich programme included study visits to a hydropower plant, the Krško Nuclear Power Plant, Elektro Maribor’s energy infrastructure, the Institute of Energy Technology at the University of Maribor, and GEN-I, giving students the opportunity to connect legal and regulatory issues with the practical functioning of the energy sector.
We are particularly grateful to Prof. Aleš Ferčič and Jasmina Klojčnik for inviting us to be part of this first edition of the BIP, as well as for the excellent organisation and cooperation throughout the programme.
We look forward to continuing this successful cooperation with the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor in future editions of the programme!
