Department of Sociology

The Department actively engages in both teaching and scientific research concerning pertinent social processes and developmental trends in modern societies, drawing insights from classical and contemporary sociological theories. Their scientific research primarily centers on examining the complexities of national integration and identity amidst prevailing global and supranational dynamics. Furthermore, they closely investigate challenges related to social integration and collective identification, particularly within the context of multi-ethnic regions in Croatia. Additionally, the Department explores various topics within the fields of sociology of law and sociology of deviance.
