Institute of Maritime Law and Law of the Sea

The Institute’s activities encompass scientific research, expert analyses, and practical opinions within maritime and other transportation frameworks. It collaborates with maritime and other economic entities and organizations to provide specialized assistance. It also fosters partnerships with international organizations and associations responsible for establishing and monitoring fundamental maritime legal standards. Since its inception, the Institute has organized various roundtables, conferences, and expert gatherings on maritime law, particularly focusing on maritime property and concessions. Additionally, it has published two books containing discussions from these events. Institute members successfully collaborate with the Ministry of the Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure, particularly in drafting regulations within the Institute’s scope of work. The Head of the Institute is Prof. Dr. Dorotea Ćorić.
