On 30 June 2025, the Department of Company and Financial Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Rijeka, will host a roundtable titled “Taxing Corporations in the Era of Sustainability: Policy Perspectives and Practical Challenges.”
This event will explore the relationship between corporate taxation and the sustainability paradigm.
Distinguished domestic and international experts — including representatives from academia, the business sector, and public authorities — will exchange views in a dynamic setting on some of the most pressing tax issues of today.
The presentations and panel discussions will particularly address the following topics: ongoing reforms of the international tax law framework, the imposition of so-called excess profit taxes, integration of tax-related factors into sustainability reporting, tax incentives for the green transition, and more.
The event is organized within the framework of the research project “The Tax Legal Framework of Corporate Activity in the Pursuit of Sustainable Development: Challenges and Opportunities”, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stjepan Gadžo.
The roundtable will take place at the Innovation Laboratory (INNOVALAB) on the Trsat campus of the University of Rijeka. As the number of seats is limited, all interested participants are kindly asked to register in advance using the link provided in the invitation document.
