Gianluca Gatti, a second-year PhD student in the Doctoral Program in Legal and Social Sciences at the University of Camerino, Italy, is at the research stay at PRAVRI from February to May 2025 to deepen his understanding on the topic of “fundamental rights”. In his research, he specifically focuses on the development of the idea of fundamental rights throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. In Rijeka, he is receiving mentorship in this process from Prof. Dr. Budislav Vukas from the Department of Legal History.
We found them having a conversation in front of the faculty, sipping coffee in the spring sunshine and enjoying the relaxing view of the Kvarner. Before returning to work, they agreed to have a photo taken.
The exchange of PhD students and experienced researchers between the University of Camerino and our faculty is far from new and has been continuously expanding from other forms of collaboration, such as projects, publications, etc., for many years. Visiting researchers at PRAVRI are extremely satisfied with the openness of our community and the available research resources, especially the databases of scientific and professional publications.
