ELSA

The European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) stands as the largest independent association for law students worldwide. Established in 1992, ELSA Rijeka embraces the motto: “A just world in which there is respect for human dignity and cultural diversity.” The organization’s primary goals include enhancing the professional and social skills of students and young legal professionals, promoting understanding of legal systems across nations through projects, international exchange programs, summer law schools, study visits, and supporting the professional development of law students within our Faculty.

ELSA Rijeka has initiated numerous projects with educational, scientific, and humanitarian objectives. Among its notable initiatives are the Promenade of Human Rights (Korzo ljudskih prava), a recurring event, the Simultaneous Parliament held at the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia, and various voluntary blood donation campaigns. Additionally, ELSA organizes the Summer Law School on Diplomacy and Law, under the patronage of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, aiming to expand knowledge in diplomacy and law and to raise student awareness of the significance and impact of the international legal order. Lastly, ELSA hosts the Freshmen Party, known as brucošijada.
