As part of the traditional holiday reception held on 18 December 2025 at the Rectorate of the University of Rijeka, the Acting Rector of the University of Rijeka, Prof. Dr. Davor Vašiček, conferred academic recognitions and awards. These included a plaque awarded to Full Professor with tenure Dr. Budislav Vukas; awards for teaching excellence granted to Assistant Professor Dr. Matija Miloš and Assistant Professor Dr. Armando Demark; the Rector’s Award for students, which was received by Maja Medved; and the Rector’s Award for the Best Doctoral Candidate, awarded to Martina Smojver in the field of social sciences and humanities.
