This year’s edition of the now traditional Rijeka Doctoral Conference, RIDOC 2024, was held on December 13, 2024, in a hybrid format. The conference continues to achieve its goal of providing a platform for selected doctoral candidates to present and discuss the preliminary results of their research before a panel of distinguished legal scholars and experts, as well as to network and exchange ideas on an international level.
RIDOC 2024 attracted 25 doctoral candidates from nine different countries, who presented a wide range of current legal topics, from the protection of rights in the digital environment to procedures in criminal cases. The discussions were enriched by the contributions of 12 panelists from academia, the public sector, and the private sector across eight countries, offering doctoral candidates valuable feedback to enhance their research.
