Students

There are over 2,000 students currently attending Studies (undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level) provided by the Faculty of Law, University of Rijeka. At the students' disposal are the Student Office, a computer classroom, a library, a cafeteria and a special room for student associations.
 

 

 

Instructions to authors and reviewers

Collected Papers of the Faculty of Law University of Rijeka publishes scientific papers from the field of legal and social sciences. The Editorial Board accepts scientific papers written in Croatian, English, Italian and German language, nevertheless, the Board may according to its internal decision accept for publishing scientific papers in some other foreign language. The papers should be submitted in the electronic form (e-mail). The Editorial Board strictly accepts unpublished manuscripts. Together with the title of the paper, the authors should submit their name, family name and title, name and address of the institution or home address as well as their e-mail address.  

It is recommended to submit papers which do not exceed more than 32 type-written double-spaced pages (about 10000 words). The text must be written in the font Times New Roman, size 12. Footnotes should be quoted with continuous numbering at the bottom of the text as they appear in the text. They must be written in the font Times New Roman, size 10, line spacing single. A summary in English language should be attached to the paper. The summary will be translated into Croatian and German or Italian language. The summary should encompass no more than 200 words and should inform about the purpose of the paper, methodology, the most important results and conclusion. The summary should be enclosed on a separate page stating the name and family name of the author, name of the institution, title of the article, no more than five key words and a denotation “Summary”.
     
The paper which is submitted for publication in the Collected Papers of the Faculty of Law University of Rijeka must be written and structured according to the Instructions to authors for structuring the text of the paper.

All papers will be subjected to an anonymous review procedure. Due to paper anonymity, which is ensured by removing the author’s name, it is unacceptable to submit a paper written in a way revealing the author’s identity by citations of his own previous written works.      

Submitted contributions will not be returned. The Editorial Board holds the right to editorially adjust the paper to the journal’s propositions and to language-edit written works in Croatian language according to the standards of the Croatian standard language. If the paper is written in language other than Croatian, author is obliged to provide official confirmation that the text is proof – read (after the paper has been accepted for publishing).

Book reviews, comments and surveys are not subjected to review. They should not exceed eight typed double-space pages (about 2400 words). Authors are expected to sign them before submitting.

Member of our teaching staff wins a prestigious international award

At the Congress of European Association of Tax Law Professors (EATLP) held in Lodz, Poland on 1-3 June, Stjepan Gadžo, post-doctoral researcher at the Chair for Financial Law of the Faculty of Law Rijeka, has been pronounced winner of the prestigious European Academic Tax Thesis Award 2017, for his doctoral thesis titled „Nexus requirements for taxation of non-residents' business income: a normative evaluation in the context of the global economy“. The EATTA Award is annually awarded jointly by EATLP and the European Commission for (post) doctoral theses on international, comparative or EU tax law.

The publication of an article in a peer reviewed journal is an essential model for our journal “Collected Papers of the Faculty of Law University of Rijeka ”.

It is necessary to agree upon the standards of the expected ethical behaviour for all parties involved in the publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer and the publisher.
