On Tuesday, 19 May 2026, the Faculty of Law in Rijeka and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung will jointly host an academic event entitled “How to Educate Future Lawyers: An International Perspective”.
The event is dedicated to exploring the German model of legal education and opportunities for international academic cooperation. The programme includes a presentation of the activities of the KAS Foundation, a lecture entitled “Legal Education in Germany: Teaching Methods and the Structure of the Study Programme”, a workshop on “Structured Legal Case Analysis: The German Approach to Legal Education”, as well as the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two institutions. The lecture and workshop will be led by Dr Luka Breneselović, Research Fellow at the University of Bremen, while Dr Pavel Usvatov, Director of the “Rule of Law” Programme for Southeast Europe, will address the participants on behalf of the KAS Foundation.
The morning session, taking place in Lecture Hall III starting at 10:00 a.m., is open to all interested students and faculty members without prior registration. Following the official programme, participants will also have the opportunity to learn more, in an informal setting, about the various opportunities offered by the KAS Foundation, as well as those available at the University of Bremen, our partner institution within the YUFE Alliance.
We warmly invite you to join us and learn more about contemporary approaches to legal education, as well as scholarships and other opportunities for professional development.
