Our research and teaching assistant Antonela Kusturin, along with seven students from our Faculty, participated in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “National and European Law in the Context of Migrations: Some Approaches” organised by the University of Antwerp (UA, Belgium). The University of Rijeka, Faculty of Law has been participating in this BIP for several years, together with Nicolaus Copernicus University (NCU, Poland), Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M, Spain), and Vytautas Magnus University (VMU, Lithuania). The on-line part of the programme was held from 18 March to 29 April 2026, while the on-site part took place from 6 to 10 July 2026 at the University of Antwerp. Participation in the BIP enabled students to develop their legal skills as well as their public speaking skills and to gain experience in teamwork with students from other European universities. The programme also provided them with the opportunity to expand their knowledge of current legal issues related to migration through lectures and discussions led by experts from various fields. Among the lecturers was Antonela Kusturin, who delivered a lecture entitled “Climate Change and Migration,” focusing on the challenges that climate change has on migration.
