Students of the Faculty of Law in Rijeka took part on April 23, 2026, in a lecture titled Freedom 250: From Courtroom to Constitution—John Adams and the Foundations of the Rule of Law, delivered by Mr. Kevin Peter Curran, Assistant Attaché and Vice Consul at the Embassy of the United States of America in Zagreb. The lecture was held at the American Corner at the Rijeka City Library.
Students, including incoming Erasmus+ exchange students, had the opportunity to learn more about the concept of the rule of law and its development in the United States throughout history, as well as to discuss the fundamental elements of these values in today’s legal system. On behalf of the Faculty of Law in Rijeka, the lecture was organised by Professor Ivana Kunda, and the students were accompanied by teaching assistants Narda Krnetić Blečić and Klara Babić.
This lecture is part of the activities carried out by the Faculty of Law in cooperation with the Embassy of the United States of America in Zagreb, within ongoing academic and educational collaboration that builds on previous partnerships through the Fulbright Program.
